Introduction

The Bifurcated & Tubular Rivet Company is a division of Aylesbury Automation Limited, a securely financed British company. The factory is located in Aylesbury and combines all the necessary resources under one roof, with total floor space of approximately 12,000 sq. ft.

The Company

The Bifurcated & Tubular Rivet Company was established in 1892, initially manufacturing Bifurcated rivets with the rivet setting machines following close behind. The company manufactured rivets for soldier’s boots and tyre studs in the First World War and aircraft rivets during the second and enjoyed the majority share of the market until the early eighties. In the late 90’s the name B & TR was dropped as the two companies combined to become one under the name Aylesbury Automation Limited.
As the name The Bifurcated & Tubular Rivet Company, or B & TR for short, is still one of the best known within the industry and is synonymous with quality and value for money the name was revived early in 2006. The company is a fully resourced business which offers a total package of highly knowledgeable and experienced sales, design, workshop and service personnel, who combine together to provide the most viable solution to our customers needs – all soundly based on ISO 9001 accreditation. The company has also been accredited with the Investors in People Award, through which the contribution made by all personnel is recognised and their development and training is maintained.

It follows therefore that a culture of continuous improvement in people and product is adopted and this enables the business to adapt quickly and manage inevitable change, thereby maintaining its leading position.
